Be my Valentine

Hey there, can I just say that I am not doing a great job of starting the week off on the right foot. Once again I feel like I'm running behind as soon as my feet hit the floor... sigh. Oh well, hopefully one of these days I will get this new schedule all figured out and be back on track.

Until then I've got a super quick card to share. Last night when I sat down at my desk, I started in on an entirely different card. Half-way through I just wasn't feeling it at all and I knew that I would have to dig through my paper stash to fix the problem but time was an issue so I had to set it aside and whip up something else in a flash. So I grabbed some Doodlebug Valentine die-cuts, border stickers and little Phoebe Ketto and threw this together. I stamped Phoebe right on the die-cut which wasn't the best cardstock to color on because the ink kept wanting to bleed but I did the best that I could with it. And can you believe there isn't a bit of pattern paper on this one? LOL :)

Alrighty, I so have to go get ready. Have a good one my friends! :) Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill

Merry January

Hey there!

I thought I should get this card up on the ol' bloggity blog before January was officially over and I'm making it by just one day... whew! ;)

I'm playing along in the Farm Fresh Friday challenge over at The Greeting Farm this week and it is all about hats. Now I can't remember if I have already done this alteration before but even if I have I at least know I didn't color her up like this yet. I thought that by adding L8R SK8R's head, with her cute beanie cap, to Miss Autumn's body I would get a perfect winter time looking Miss Anya to match up with even more of this Merry January paper that I adore. Doesn't it look like she just finished building that crazy snowman in the background and is about ready to head inside for hot cocoa?

Anywho... I should probably wrap this up. Toodles! :)
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It

Bee mine

Hello, hello!

Well, it is grey and gloomy here but as long as we don't get any snow I can handle it. Besides, I can always just create my own little bit of sunshine to lift the spirits with a bright and cheery card. ;)

I figured that since I used the Pure Innocence Ladybug for a Valentine last week, I had to pull out Honey Bee and do the same with her this week. I did alter her a bit by wiping away the bucket in her hand and replacing it with a large heart that I drew in. Even with that change she was still quick to color up... love that about the PI images.. and I lucked into finding these kinda odd colored Valentine's papers in my stash that worked perfectly with her little bee costume. It's funny how that happens... I get one of those coordinating paper stacks and nine times out of ten it is the least likely of papers that get pulled for a project first while my obvious initial faves sit and wait. :)

Alrighty... I've got to go do the ol' hair and make-up thing... ttyl!
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It

Happy Heart Day

Happy Friday my friends, are you ready for the weekend?

I can't believe it is the last weekend in January already... no wonder I've been on such a Valentine's kick lately. Before you know it "Heart Day" will be upon us and though my only plans for it include getting a nice big box of chocolates, that doesn't mean I don't enjoy making cards for the holiday at all. Must be because I have such fond memories of the Valentine parties we would have back in grade school. Every year we would get to make big construction paper pockets and decorate them with glitter, stickers and paper doilies. Then on Valentine's Day everyone would bring in their cheesy little store bought Valentines featuring whatever cartoon characters were currently popular (Care Bears and Shirt Tales anyone?) then fill up each other's pockets with all of that 'love'... it was wonderful. :)

Today my little piece of paper love features a stamp from Lili of the Valley. When I saw the new release this cute little couple had me at hello... I just love how they are dreaming off into the future together, so sweet. :)
Besides the coloring this card is actually a pretty quick one to put together because I used a pre-made card base to build it on. Then I added some of my current fave embellies... rose ribbon... and a bit of other stuff and I called this one done.

Well, I best be getting myself ready for work. See ya in 24!
Supply list:
cardstock- Paper Trey Ink
paper- Making Memories (Love Struck card base)
stamps- Lili of the Valley (Together Forever), Stampendous (sentiment)
ink- Memento tuxedo black and rich cocoa, Colorbox creamy brown
crinkled ribbon (from Kiara)
American Crafts ribbon roses

Martha Stewart puffy heart sticker

Pink {LOVE} Month Valentine Blog Hop!

Hello, hello!

With the month of {LOVE} right around the corner we here at Tickled Pink Stamps are celebrating all of those warm fuzzy feelings with... chocolate! LOL... just kidding, how about a fun blog hop instead? ;)
All of the Pink Ladies have made cards featuring the newest release of Tickled Pink stamps for the hop today and I decided to ink up the lovely Lilith once again. This time though I made a couple tiny alterations that change the whole vibe of the stamp. First I wiped away the torn part of her heart before stamping and then drew in a new top to mend that broken heart. This made Lilith happy so I drew in the tiniest of upturned smiles at the corner of her mouth... not too much though, this is a girl who works hard to keep her emotions in check. :)

There are three prizes to be won and each is hidden somewhere along the hop. All you have to do for a chance to win is leave a comment at each of the stops along the way. The hop starts today and ends Sunday the 30th (Aussie time), Saturday the 29th for those of us here in the States and the winners will be announced the following day.
Wanna know what the prizes are?
1. sentiment set and die plus your choice of one Cherrie and one Lolita/Lad
2. two Cherries and two Lolitas/Lads
3. one Cherrie and one Lolita/Lad

I'm the first stop in the hop and once you are done here your next stop is to the wonderful miss Angela's blog. And if you ever find yourself lost just check back at the Tickled Pink blog for the entire list of hoppers. Enjoy the eye candy, if you ask me it is even better than chocolate! ;)

Happy hopping and think {PINK}!

Let it snow...

(but not really!) ;)

Hey there!

Are you itchin' for a new Wednesday challenge over at ATS? The theme this week is "Let it Snow" and while I think it makes for some pretty cards I can't say that I truly want to see any more of the white stuff. LOL! But that doesn't mean I didn't think it would be cool to take one of the new Sweet November princesses and turn her into a beautiful ice queen. Ilyse was perfect with her fur lined coat and I think the bottom of her dress looks a bit like a snow drift. I frankensteined bits and pieces from my WeR Merry January card kit to create the perfect background for her royal highness. Then I finished it off with a little whirlwind of pearl snowflakes.

So whether you are still snowed in or enjoying warmer weather why not let the snow fall on a card for the challenge this week? You know by now that every week there is a new and exciting prize being offered and in order to be eligible to win, your project must include a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps store. Whether it is any of our wonderful in house designs or from the various other stamp companies that ATS carries, the choice is yours. Then be sure to link up your creation with Mr Linky by next Tuesday at 10pm est and only one entry per person please!

Adios amigos! :)

Raspberries and lemonade...

Good morning!

So have you ever seen stamps and known right away exactly what you wanted to create with them? That is what happened when I first saw these new fruity gals from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps. This card flashed into my brain right down to the very papers and sentiment that I wanted to use... all I had to do was wait for my order to arrive and when they came I couldn't wait to ink these two right up.

You see, I LOVE a nice big glass of raspberry lemonade. It is easily one of my most favorite drinks... I'm getting thirsty just thinking about it right now, LOL! The pairing is the perfect mix of sweet and tart so I thought it would make for a fun kind of inside joke to play off of that perfect blend on this friendship themed card. I typed up my sentiment, stamped Rebecca Raspberry and masked her off before stamping Lily Lemon over her so that the two would look like they overlapped in the frame I cut out for them. And then the rest of the card truly felt like it just flew together and I can honestly say that it turned out just like I first envisioned it would over a week ago. Always so much fun when that happens! ;)

Well here's hoping for warmer weather so that I can enjoy a cool drink of raspberry lemonade sooner rather than later!

Thanks so much for dropping by... hope your day is a sweet one! :)

Hugs & Kisses

Howdy friends!

Once again I am on the run, I blame it on some very poor time management recently, oy! I'm tellin' ya, I need to get back on track!

Anywho... I've got another card where I used the double stamping trick in order to get Lulu Ketto to look good directly against that pattern paper background... no way was I going to try and cut out those skinny arms and legs, LOL! This time though, I used the Memento Rich Cocoa because I think it gives the image a softer look than the tuxedo black which is exactly what I wanted to go with this soft and pretty paper that I was using. The rest of the card basically falls under the category of, "when in doubt throw on some flowers". ;)

Ok, I reeeeeeally need to get moving... TTFN!

i {heart} u

Hey folks, I hate to have to do this but I'm gonna post and run this morning... lots going on!

So this is a quick card using a slightly altered Lounge Miss Anya... I just had to open up that winking eye again. I paired her with the cute heart paper that I thought matched her teen-like vibe. I made the tulle flower by doing a running stitch along one edge and cinching it together then finishing off the center with the flower and felt button, boy do I feel crafty! LOL ;)

Alrighty, time for me to scoot. Luv ya later!

99% Angel

Greetings and salutations!

Is anyone else starting to get the feeling that winter may finally be coming to an end and spring is just waiting right around the corner? The temps here still aren't anything to get warm by, hovering in the mid to high 30s, but it has been enough this past week that every day more and more grass is starting to appear and I am all for it! All I know is that when Ground hog's Day rolls around that little critter had better not say there are six more weeks of winter!

So I broke my red and black streak with my card for today and I'm back to pink and red. I fell in love with this sassy cutie as soon as I laid eyes on her during preview week and I've been dying to color her up since she arrived on my doorstep. The sentiment comes from a sticker that I got back in high school in one of those cheap plastic bubble vending machines that sit next to grocery store exits. For some reason it really stuck with me and I still have that sticker on my cork board that hangs in my crafting space. Perhaps it's because I feel like that most days... other days that percentage drops quite a bit lower though, LOL! ;)
Oh and I'm on quite a roll with using my tools too... yesterday it was the Cuttlebug and today I pulled out the Slice to cut out the little birdies I needed for that perfect finishing touch on this one. Big pat on my own back for that, heeheehee!

Alrighty, time for me to bid you adieu and go get ready for work... tata!

Love bug

Happy Friday everyone!

I don't know about you but it's a total TGIF morning for me. I'll be working on some images for Sweet November and hopefully get a couple cards done as well. Other than that, no big plans.

My card today is continuing the red and black kick that I seem to be on lately but when the stamp is this cute little Pure Innocence Ladybug how could I use anything else? I changed up the sentiment a bit by mixing two of the ones that come in the set and selectively stamping certain words until it said what I wanted it to. And I even broke out the big bug (Cuttlebug that is...) for this buggy card, which is something I really don't do enough of. The rest is paper from my scrap bag and more bits from my desk... yes it is already messy again, sigh. I'm a hopeless case! ;)

Alrighty fellow stampers, may the force be with you this weekend!

Gettin' sketchy at Tickled Pink

Good morning!

The Tickled Pink Challenge is brand new today! This is our third week with the new challenges and the very first sketch for us to play with and it's a great one. :)
At first I wasn't planning on doing a Valentine's card but in the end it kinda snuck up on me. Ya see, I started off wanting to use Evie with this new Cosmo Cricket paper that has a cool vintagey look to it. I got the card base all put together and colored Evie up so all that was left was to embellish the card and find a sentiment. Hmmmm... that is when my bag of Valentine stickers caught my eye, it wouldn't hurt to at least look... and I wasn't disappointed. In the back of the bag was an old sheet of Karen Foster Vintage Valentine stickers that coordinated beautifully with the papers I chose. Plus there was this tiny little Valentine sticker that was the perfect size for Evie to hold... I was sold! Add to that a bit of ribbon and froof and this one was done. I'm starting to think I should be checking out my sticker bags more often! ;)

We would love to have you join us and there is that great prize Kellie always has up for grabs... just remember that you have to use one of the Tickled Pink range of stamps in order to be eligible to win.
Oh! And be sure to check out the Tickled Pink blog too... we are celebrating reaching 700 followers with a fun giveaway and guest spot opportunity. The winner will get to join the Pink Ladies during February's release previews, fun, fun, fun! :)

Alrighty folks, chat at 'cha later! Supply list:

Wild thing...

Happy hump day everyone!

Wednesday means it is time for a new challenge at All That Scraps and this week we are doing early Valentine's ideas. For my sample I went with a card featuring little Cinder (it's no accident that his puffs of smoke make a heart shape). ;)
I thought it would be cool to stray away from all the pink I've been doing lately and go with a bold red/orange/ black color scheme just to be a bit different. Plus I had this great dragon scaly looking paper that I've been hoarding for years and I really wanted to pair it up with Cinder. The feather was a last minute addition and I love how it looks and that its wispy movement kind of mimics smoke but I'll be the first to admit that it may be a bit tricky to get this one into an envelope. Oh well! LOL

And even though this challenge is about early Valentine ideas, when you look at the calendar Valentine's Day really isn't all that far away so why not play along and make a card or two? Every week there is a new and exciting prize being offered and in order to be eligible to win, your project must include a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps store.Whether it is any of our wonderful in house designs or from the various other stamp companies that ATS carries, the choice is yours. Be mine...

Hola!

Man, oh man the wind has been a-blowin' like crazy here, even rattling the doors and windows every now and then. Which has been great for melting the snow but I'm in constant fear of it knocking out the power... I'd hate to lose the heat and my internet connection LOL! ;)
So far so good though so I'll get this posted quickly just in case...

A few days ago when I was flipping through my Valentine stamps looking for a sentiment I came across this crazy little Valentine Animals clear stamp set from Inkadinkado that I got on sale sometime last year but never used. These cute birdies totally caught my eye and I knew I would have to ink them up sometime soon. I love how sweet they look and then they are paired with that tongue-in-cheek sentiment that just cracks me up.. too fun! I finished off the scene with some Paper Trey Ink Out on a Limb stamps and the sky was created by sponging Distress ink over a cloud shaped masking border that I cut out for this. Because I put most of my time into creating the scene I left the rest of the card pretty clean and simple and I think it works.

Ok, time for work. Have a good one my friends!

A day filled with happiness

Happy Monday morning to you!

I'm kickin' off the week with a day off but it is looking like I'll be kept plenty busy with things I need to get done around the house and what not. One of these days I need to schedule a haircut because once it hits my shoulders it just feels too long, maybe I should take care of that today too... how's that for total Amy randomness, LOL! I'll throw one more at ya... I'm totally having Glee withdrawls and new episodes are still like a month away, sigh...

Alrighty on to my card... I actually made this for the Kraftin Kimmie challenge to use flowers on a card. Flowers? Seriously? No problemo! I even had a new little Imaginisce Garden Party paper pad just waiting to get on a card that was perfect! So I paired it up with this rather glam Snow White whom I chose to color up as a blonde. There is a lot of sparkle added to her gown but as always the pics just don't capture it very well. All in all it's a very girlie-girl card but I don't see anything wrong with that! :)

Ok, time to scoot... TTYL! Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and Copic X-Press It

Hey, hey Donna...

Mornin' folks!

Have you been able to get lots of crafty time in this weekend? I've still been busy with work so not as much play time as I would like. Though I did find time to print out this new digi from Tiddlyinks and color her right up! :)
I have to say that I LOVE the original Donna image that Christy did (inspired by my fab bloggin' buddy, Donna) but I think I'm loving this new Donna's Adventure even more if it is possible! Isn't she just the sweetest? This image actually reminds me of when I was little and would pack up my favorite toys and trek off through the apple orchard on my own adventures and Mom would always give me little sandwich baggies full of miniature marshmallows and chocolate chips to sustain me during my journeys, LOL! Ahhhh... good times, good times... :)

Needless to say, I'm pretty fond of this little card...anywho, I should go get ready for the day.
Later gators!

More Ketto love

Hello and good morning!

I'm in a bit of a rush this morning so I'll get straight to my card for the day... as you can see I didn't put my Kettos away so I decided to ink up another one. Nothing wrong with that, right? ;)
I wanted to have Ginger on this journaling card but I didn't want her to cover up most of it and lose the design so I knew I would have to cut her out. But I also knew that there was no way I would be able to cut out all of those skinny arms, legs and stick pins of hers. Hmmmm... what to do, what to do? I ended up stamping Ginger twice, once directly on the note card and once on my Paper Trey card stock for coloring. Once I had her colored and started cutting her out I simply snipped all of those little pieces right off and then I just pop dotted and layered her right over my first stamping on the card. Not a bad little trick if you find yourself with a similar image. :)

Better with a friend

Good morning... any big plans for the upcoming weekend?

I'll be working so nothing too exciting lined up on my schedule. But it's all good, 'cause as long as all this cold and snow stick around it's not like I feel like doing a whole lot of adventuring or anything.
In fact, I was quite content to continue cleaning/organizing the crafty room yesterday and couldn't have been happier... I'm finding things that I completely forgot I had, so it is like little presents popping up all around me, LOL! Yet with all those papers and goodies what did I reach for to inspire this card? Packaging left over from some Prima flowers! I thought it was too pretty to throw away so onto the card it went. Then when I was looking through my stamps for something to go with it I came across my Kettos and this cute little duo caught my eye. It had been a while since I colored up any Kettos so these gals were really speaking to me. I wonder if Stamping Bella will ever release any new Kettos? I know I would love to see a few new additions to that line. Anyone out there heard anything?

Well, I suppose I should go get ready for the day. Have a good one my fellow stampers, I hope you find some time to get crafty this weekend. :) Supply list:

Lots of love

Hey, hey, hey!

We got a bunch of new snow dumped on us yesterday so I decided to spend my day off holed up inside and just play. I'm tellin' you, it felt really good to take it easy. And even though I spent most of the afternoon cleaning off my desk and organizing things, some how that never feels like a chore in my crafty room. ;)
This card is actually a direct result of that desk cleaning because I used left over scrap pieces of this yummy Sweet Nectar paper that I used on some of my past preview cards instead of sticking them in a scrap bag or, heaven forbid, toss them in the trash! And as an added bonus I had new stamps arrive from TGF so of course I had to ink one up for this before putting them away. I used the new Fancy Anya with a bit of tweaking... I wiped away her curl and closed eyes before stamping and then I used my light box to trace on Sweater Anya's smilie eyes. What can I say... I loves me some open eyes. :)
Once I added the epoxy heart sticker to her hands I think she makes for a pretty cute little Valentine image. Then it was just embellishing with more bits and bobs I found while cleaning and voila! Like I said before, I had a lot of fun with this. And lucky me, I've got another day off today so if we get more snow I just may continue playing and cleaning to my hearts content... sounds like a plan to me! LOL

Smooches! :)

Snowmen melt my heart

Mornin' fellow stampers!

So how are things? I've been keepin' busy and if you hadn't guessed it from all my quick cards this week, I've not had a whole lot of time to devote to crafting. And even though I hope to get back into the full swing of crafty things soon I've still got one more quicky card today and it is for the ATS Wednesday challenge.
This week we are challenging everyone to use snowmen in some way on your card and I decided to raid my scrap bag to put it all together. I didn't have any snowmen stamps from the ATS store (hmmm, maybe Sweet November needs to do something about that next winter...) so I knew I would have to rely on my paper stash to fulfill the challenge. I have had this scrap of an Old Navy gift bag for years and I love the crazy snowman print on it so I put it to use once again. This time Penelope joined the scene and I like to think of her as having spent the afternoon building all of those snowmen and being oh-so-proud of her work. ;)

So why not take a look around your own stash and see what kind of snowman goodies you've got lying around just waiting to make it onto a card? Every week there is a new and exciting prize being offered and in order to be eligible to win, your project must include a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps store. Whether it is any of our wonderful in house designs or from the various other stamp companies that ATS carries, the choice is yours. Then be sure to link up your creation with Mr Linky by next Tuesday at 10pm est and only one entry per person please!

Ok, I've gotta hit the road... take it easy. :)

I {heart} Cherrie

Happy Tuesday everyone!

Well, we've made it to the final day of Tickled Pink January previews and we are finishing things off with sweet Cherrie and her giant heart... isn't she just the cutest?! :)
Working with the digi version of her I printed Cherrie out a bit larger than normal, 4 inches tall, so that there was enough room for me to stamp this great new Tickled Pink Valentine sentiment right onto her heart. I masked off her hands first so that it looks like the letters are behind her hands. Once again I went to my stash of pre-made card bases for some quick and easy inspiration. This one isn't quite as old as some... it's just from last year's Making Memories Valentine line. Then I added bits and pieces from my desk top to finish it off. Call it the perks of having a messy desk, LOL! ;)

Now you will want to head on over to the Tickled Pink blog to see all the other beautiful Cherrie creations that the rest of the Pink Ladies have created today and then get entered for a chance to win this final Cherrie all for yourself! January 13th (Aussie time) is the release date for all of the new Tickled Pink stamps and digis, so that means they will be available for purchase for us in the states tomorrow! Don't miss checking out the Tickled Pink store then!

Cherrie's got a rose just for you...

Hola!

Welcome to day 5 of the Tickled Pink January previews! We've got Cherrie here once again and this time she has picked the most beautiful rose from her garden to give to a very special friend.
I dug out an older Making Memories card kit from a couple years back for this card and pulled my color inspiration for little Cherrie from it. I really like the way the kraft/red/white with just a touch of pink looks. And because I had that kit and some of the coordinating die cuts to go with it everything came together really quickly on this one. Yeah for kits! ;)

Don't forget to check out the Tickled Pink blog to see what the rest of the Pink Ladies have created today and then get yourself entered for a chance to win sweet little Cherrie with rose too!
