Club Anya blog hop time!

Hola amigas!

Well, we've made it through a week of AMAZING previews... so what do you think? Pretty cool new stamps, huh? :)
And is there any better way to kick off RELEASE DAY than with a BLOG HOP? And not just any ol' hop but one with a chance to win of course! Team Anya has a special Design Team blog hop for you today and ONE LUCKY WINNER will take home ALL THREE Rubber releases! That's Creepy Crew Monday, Wednesday, and the NEW Oliver&Amelia Journey set.

For my card, I used Creepy Monday and I just love how edgy and hip she looks while still remaining girly girl and flirty... she's the best of both worlds LOL! Right away I knew the exact sentiment I wanted to use with her because it is one I've had for awhile just waiting for the perfect image to be paired with. Then I had to take it a step further and and give her a funky mix of colors and papers to live in too... I think she pulls it off quite nicely! ;)

Be sure to stop by the CLUB ANYA & FRIENDS blog for the beginning of the hop if you're just starting out, and in case you get lost, here's the order:

Introducing 30s Lylah!

Hello again... please be sure to scroll down for my Oliver&Amelia preview!

Ok friends of the Pink, here we are at the half way point in our introductions of the new Fashionette Lil Lolitas from Tickled Pink Stamps and today we are traveling back to the 1930's with miss Lylah. True, times were tougher back then, what with the Great Depression and all. Still, this little waif may look all soft and sweet but I suspect Lylah has an inner resolve that will see her through anything life throws at her. :)

I don't think I have to tell you that the Tickled Pink blog is absolutely loaded with Lylah inspiration from my fellow Pink Ladies so be sure to check it out! While you are there you can even take advantage of the chance to win your very own 30's Lylah simply by leaving a comment on the blog. And if you are up for a challenge Kellie also has a chance for some lucky lady to win the entire release of all six new Fashionettes... all you have to do is leave a comment on the TP blog as well as all the Pink Ladies and Guests blogs each day of previews. Good luck!

Once previews are over the pre-sale will begin in the Tickled Pink store so look for that as well. :)

Alrighty then, hope to see you all back here again tomorrow!

Oliver and Amelia are packing their bags...

Hey there!

I've got another sneak peek to share with you and today we are wrapping up the CA&Friends previews with a brand new Oliver and Amelia Journey set that will be available on July 1st in the TGF store! These two cuties are packing their bags 'cause they're... leaving on a jet plain... don't know when they'll be back again... LOL ;)

I couldn't help but the two of them together on one card as I thought it told such a sweet story... don't they just look like they are ready and waiting to head off to Grandma's house? Well, that and I thought Amelia could use some extra hands to help lug around all those bags, LOL!
I pulled all of my Copic colors from the fun travel papers I found in my stash and I think this scheme works really well for any recipient, guy or gal.

Want to see even more Oliver and Amelia love? Then you'll want to take a gander at the cards of these lovely ladies... my fellow CADT!

A swingin' Tickled Pink preview

Hey everybody... please be sure to scroll down for today's CA&Friends "creepy" preview... thanks! :)

Hello my fellow Pink friends! Are you ready for day 2 of our fabulous Fashionette Lil Lolita sneaks? Today Ivy has been transported back to the swingin' 60's and she is looking quite mod and hip! I bet she even gets hit on by Austin Powers... though I sure hope he doesn't mistake her for a beautiful fem-bot, LOL! Something tells me that even if Mr. Powers, International Man of Mystery, did put the moves on her, Miss Ivy could handle herself just fine... "Judo CHOP!" Hahaha, oh man I am just crackin' myself up tonight! ;)

Now just like yesterday, there is a chance to win your very own 60's Ivy simply by leaving a comment over on the Tickled Pink blog. And if you are up for a challenge Kellie also has a chance for some lucky lady to win the entire release of all six new Fashionettes... all you have to do is leave a comment on the TP blog as well as all the Pink Ladies and Guests blogs each day of previews. Hey, loads of inspiration in exchange for that fab prize... not a bad deal if you ask me!

And once previews are over the pre-sale will begin in the Tickled Pink store so look for that as well. :)

Creepin' into July previews!

Hey, hey hey!

So are you ready for Club Anya previews to get under way?
Well, wait no longer... today we are thrilled to bring you not one, but TWO previews on the CA&Friends blog and they've both crept straight into our hearts! :)

There are two new members joining the Creepy Crew on July 1st and my sample card for today features miss Wednesday. I know I've referenced the Animaniacs cartoon before and I'm throwing it out there once again because as soon as I laid eyes on this little gal she totally reminded me of a creeper version of Brain, from Pinky and the Brain. Come on, who else can sing the theme song along with me? "They're Pinky and The Brain... yes, Pinky and The Brain... one is a genius the other's insane. They're laboratory mice, their genes have been spliced... they're dinky, they're Pinky and The Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain Brain, Brain, Brain, Brain Brain." LOL, yes I admit that I am a total nerd but there are worse things to be! ;)
Now that I have that visual in your head, tell me that Wednesday doesn't look like she is planning on taking over the world! Yep, she's quite the little evil genius if you ask me. LOL

And if you haven't checked out the TGF Blog yet, you'll see that not only do we have creepy cuteness in RUBBER this month, but also in Digi form too! Make sure you go meet Creeper Jack on the TGF Blog and then head to the Club Anya & Friends blog to see BOTH of the new rubber stamps too... you won't want to miss the amazing creep-tastic creations made by my teammates, including the announcement of our BRAND NEW July Guest Designer, the uber fabulous Donna Mikasa! WELCOME DONNA! :)

Well, that's all for me for today, but I'll be back tomorrow for another preview that will have us "leaving on a jet plane... don't know when I'll be back again..." Hmmm, seems like I am just in a singing mood this evening, LOL! Thanks for stopping by!

Tickled Pink sneaks!

Hello dahlings!

I promised you that this week was going to be full of new stamp goodness and here we are kicking things off with a super cute new range of Lil Lolitas from Tickled Pink Stamps! For this new release the Lolitas have all traveled back in time to different eras of the 20th century and first up is the lovely 20's Evie. Isn't she absolutely precious with those perfect pin curls and her fab drop waist dress? Sure she looks all sweet and innocent now but I suspect she is heading out for a night at the local speak-easy and maybe even dancing the Charleston with a handsome gent or two! ;)

Evie is the first of six new Lolitas that we will be previewing on the Tickled Pink blog and you will want to be sure to go over and comment with your thoughts on the new stamps because Kellie has plenty of chances to win them before you can buy them this week! And once they are all up I believe there will also be a pre-order on the new gals as they are still making their way across the ocean to the land down under... believe me, they are SO worth the wait! :)

Ok, so I'm not going to keep you any longer... hop on over to Tickled Pink to check out all of the wonderful Evie cards my fellow DT gals have created and take advantage of a chance to win this pretty lil one all for yourself... seriously, who wouldn't want to bring sweet Evie home?

Warm Wishes

Good morning!

I'm proud to say that I got quite a bit done yesterday and even better... I had fun doing it. I feel like I'm on top of things for the moment so I don't even mind having to get ready for work again today. ;)

So I have another Spesch digi from this last release to share with you and yep, it is my final winter card... at least for a few months, LOL! This is Dana and she is enjoying a nice, hot mug of cocoa, yum! Oooh and don't forget the marshmallows, ya gotta have those! If it wasn't so warm here that tasty treat would probably sound pretty darn good. As it is though, I'd go more for a Hawaiian shaved ice. ;)

Actually if you head on over to the Spesch blog Tracey is currently previewing the upcoming July release of fun and fabulous birthday themed images that you won't want to miss! They are looking pretty darn cute and quite a few of them are already being made into clear acrylic stamps as well as digi. :)

Okey dokey, I gotta head out... but be sure to check back later, this whole next week is going to be chalk full of crazy sneak peek preview fun! Woot woot!

Carefree summer days

Ahhhh... hello friends, can you tell that I'm sitting here with my first Saturday off in ages? It is SO nice getting to stay away from the hustle and bustle of town for a day and I plan on enjoying every second of it! :)

Now I may not go swinging on a rope swing but coloring up this cutie is the next best thing, don'tcha think? I stumbled upon Lili of the Valley stamps recently and absolutely fell in love with this little fella and just had to have him... along with a couple of his friends. But this kiddo was the very first one that called out to be inked and on a card, I think because he is just SO that whole summer time attitude. He was pretty quick to color and the rest of the card is pretty simple too... I found this die cut tag on my desk and I think it really pulled the whole thing together quite nicely. :)

Oh my! Looks like we have a friendly visitor stopping by with a quick message today too! ;)
Have a wonderful day everyone!

I just can't leave well enough alone

Hello, hello!

It's time again for another Lil Lolita Boutique challenge and this week we want to see cards with no designer papers. I know... I know.. no DP? If you're saying that is a hard one... believe me, you're preachin' to the choir, LOL!
I had every intention of just doing a nice embossed background but that little voice inside my head kept needling me... trying to get me to sneak some pattern paper on my card somewhere. So how could I appease that little voice and still stay true to the challenge???
A-HA! Rub-ons! Yep, I broke out a sheet of birthday rub-ons and created my own pattern on some white cardstock and that quieted the voice enough to let me get on with the rest of my card. ;)

I was also a bit tricky with the image on this one by taking Lil Lolita Evie and altering her by wiping away the cat ears and whiskers before stamping then re-drawing in some of the missing lines in her hair with a Copic multiliner pen. Once that was done I stamped up Lil Lolita Lylah and chopped off both of their heads so I could swap them out... OUCH! Don't worry, no images where harmed in the making of this card, LOL! :)
Now Evie has lost her cat costume and is ready for her big day, I bet that is a big box of Copics and stamps she's got there... what else could make her look so happy? ;)

So if you've gotten your Lil Lolita stamps why not join in the fun this week? The no DP thing really isn't that bad... I promise, and we would love to see what you come up with!

Have a beautiful day everyone. :)

Awww Honey, Honey...

Mornin' friends!

Are you ready for a brand new Wednesday challenge over at ATS? This week is a color challenge of Caribbean blue, pink and celery... perfect colors for a fabulously girly summer card if you ask me! And things don't get much girlier than sweet little Bikini Honey from CC Designs... she was just calling out to be the star of this card! ;)

Once again I was playing around with another color combo on her hair and I'm not 100% on how this one turned out. It still needs some tweaking before it's perfect... I'll let ya know when it gets there. I also gave Honey some sun kissed skin as this girl looks like she loves lounging by the pool.

Ok, so now it's your turn to play along and remember, every week there is a new and exciting prize being offered and in order to be eligible to win, your card must include a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps store. Whether it is any of our wonderful in house designs or from the various other stamp companies that ATS carries, the choice is yours. Then be sure to link up your creation with Mr Linky by next Tuesday at 10pm est. And only one entry per person please. :)

Chat at ya later!

Wicked cool...

Hola chicas!

It's back to work I go today and I'm kinda lagging behind so I won't dilly dally. :)

I've got another guy card to share with you today. But where yesterday's card was more geared towards the younger lads, this one is definitely a bit more on the edgy side. I've used Christian from the Simply Betty Stamps My Kids Emo line and I think he is just a wicked cool little skater dude... thus the sentiment. ;)
Not only is Christian pretty darn cool but just look at the buddy he comes with... it's a little dragon! I would so have a pet dragon if I could, though I would probably have to invest heavily in fire extinguishers first, LOL! Still, I think these two make the perfect pair... totally hip and yet still kinda whimsical and fun. I really couldn't ask for more in a stamp.

Ok, ok, I'm audi... see ya tomorrow!

An Oliver kind of Monday

Ahhhh Monday...
I bet you can hear my sigh of relief at having a day off after the weekend I had. Luckily I made it through and here I am ready to enjoy some time to myself. ;)

My card today is for Margie's Monday Mania recipe challenge over at CA&Friends and it is to use: kraft cardstock, the color green, 1 piece of pattern paper and 1 type of embellishment. Little Oliver felt that it was high time he got a chance to play on a card and I was all for it. Then I dug through my bag of green paper scraps and was thrilled when I came across this gem of a text pattern... it was perfect for the boy card I wanted to create! Then all I had to do was finish the whole thing off with my brad like embellishment and the perfect sentiment. Done!
Gotta love the quick and easy ones! ;)

Ok, time for me to make like a banana and split! Hugs!

Wellies and brellies

Sweet Sunday mornin' to ya! :)

Is today the longest day of the year or is that tomorrow? I'm always getting it confused. I love the build up this time of year when the daylight lingers well past 8pm... I just feel like I get so much more done. So it's always kinda sad to hit that point and then know that we start losing daylight each day after. Oh well, guess I just need to take advantage of these long days while they last. :)

Speaking of getting things done, I've been working on getting this little side project up and going for a while and now I think I've finally got all my ducks in a row enough to share it with everyone. I've been making a lot of cards, more than I've been able to use, and they are starting to pile up sooooooo... I thought I would see about finding them good homes. And hey, if it helps cover a bit of the shipping on the candies I love to do, coolio. :)
So I've added a link in my sidebar to the brand spankin' new 1000 sheets of paper card shop and you can check it out if you like! I also plan on adding some card making kits eventually because I think they are fun to put together and clearing out some of the clutter in my craft room is a top priority these days, LOL! If anyone has any questions at all please feel free to email me at pete_danger@hotmail.com
Ok, ok, time to share my card for the day... I've got another one of the Spesch mid-month sweeties and this little gal is named Samantha. Just look at her all decked out in her wellies and brellie (how am I doing on my Aussie slang with that one? LOL). Even though she was part of the winter release I thought she would work beautifully in some more spring like colors as well. She's not exactly a simple Sunday card because she took some time to color but I did keep the rest of the card pretty simple allowing Samantha and her panda friend to tell the story. :)
Not into digis? You're in luck! Samantha is also available in clear acrylic for those of us who like to get our fingers inky! Tracey is really working hard to get many of her fab images into actual real-life-hold-them-in-your-hands stamps and I'm am still keeping my fingers crossed that the White Queen will show up soon, LOL!
Alrighty, I'm sure I sound like a broken record but it's time to go get ready for work... again... hasta manana! :)
Supply list:
cardstock- Bazzill and PTI
paper- Doodlebug (plaid), Making Memories (green), KI Memories (blue solid)
digi stamp- Spesch Designer Stamps (samantha)

Return of the Rose Queen

Good morning my lovely stampers!

I'm a working girl this weekend so not a lot of fun free time for me but those are the breaks. I hope some of you are getting the chance to play at least! :)

You might remember a few weeks back when I altered a recycled Prima container for Kim Yu's MM challenge and thought about making a matching card sometime. Well, that 'sometime' has arrived and Cheeky Beauty is once again moonlighting as the Rose Queen... ruler of the garden path and all the lovelies that reside their. I used up a bunch of the left over papers and embellies from my first project and even colored her the same too just because I'm still in love with this combo of colors and goodies. ;)

Cat scratch fever

LOL!
Perhaps that title is a bit too dramatic for sweet lil Evie but I just had to do it. ;)

So I've got one more Lil Lolita to share with you this week and as I mentioned above, her name is Evie. Not being a huge cat person, at first I was a bit iffy on how I would use her on my cards. But when Kellie challenged the Pink Ladies to create a card where everything except the image was in color that really got my wheels turning. True, I may be jumping the gun a bit on making a Halloween card this early in the year but I thought Evie lent herself purrrrrfectly to the theme... especially by coloring her in the monochromatic grey tones. This was something that I haven't done before and I gotta say it was pretty darn cool! I love how Evie looks like she's from some old black and white cartoon this way and I can totally see myself revisiting this coloring technique in the future. :)

Well, I'm ready to go enjoy my day off! Rain or shine I've got a lot that I want to get done... so wish me luck and I'll see ya tomorrow! :) Supply list:

Little flower girl Willow

Hola chicas!

A new challenge is up over at Lil Lolita Boutique and if you played along in last week's blog hop you may just want to check out LLB and see if you were one of the lucky winners! :)

So this week Kellie has given us a beautiful photo of a wedding cake to be inspired by for the challenge and I totally ran with the soft pinks and white color scheme for my card. I even took a cue from the bit of brown ribbon in the photo and added touches of it with my button and pearl accents. Willow even got a bit of the pink/brown/white treatment herself and I just think she is a total little beauty!

If you've gotten your Lil Lolita stamps already why not join in the fun and play along? The challenge does require you to use a Lil Lolita and I can't think of a better excuse to get a couple if you haven't already. ;)

Alrighty time for me to hit the hay... ttyl!

Wednesday challenge once again!

Good morning friends!

I hope you all are making it through the week all right. Me? Oh, I just keep doing my thing between work and home... nothing much exciting going on here. But that's ok, at least I've got a card to share! :)

So there's a new ATS challenge up today to create the look of cracked glass using embossing powder and I'll be the first to admit that I was kinda dreading this one. I was familiar with the technique but it's just not one that really lends itself to my usual style of card making. I wracked my brain trying to figure out a way to make it work ... I flipped through my stamps hoping one of them would tell me what to do. And wouldn't ya know that miss Treasure was just waiting to give me the solution to my dilemma. ;)

She said that she needed a big mirror for her grotto and I agreed. So I did a quick sketch and then colored it up... once that was done I started to add layers of UTEE (ultra thick embossing enamel) to the 'glass'. I think I did about five layers of heating and adding more UTEE before I was satisfied with the thickness. Then once it had cooled I simply bent the image in a few different spots until it cracked. Now I wonder why I was so hesitant to try this out in the first place, LOL!

I also have to give credit to my pal Rach, for inspiring me to try a different way of coloring up Treasure's tail. I absolutely adored her Treasure card from a few days ago and I couldn't wait to do this more scaley looking coloring technique. Thanks Rach! :)

Think you may want to crack some glass this week? We would love to have you join us! Just remember, every week there is a new and exciting prize being offered and in order to be eligible to win, your card must include a stamp that is sold in the All That Scraps store. Whether it is any of our wonderful in house designs or from the various other stamp companies that ATS carries, the choice is yours. Then be sure to link up your creation with Mr Linky by next Tuesday at 10pm est and only one entry per person please!

Later gators!

A Speschal mid-month release

Hi!

I'm back with one more card to share today and this one is for the mid-month digi stamp release over at Spesch Designer Stamps! You may think it a bit odd for me to have a winter themed card but because our Aussie friends are in the midst of their winter right now Tracey wanted to put out some images that will warm hearts on even the coldest day. Plus is it ever too early to start thinking about those Christmas cards we all need to make? ;)

So this sweet digi stamp is called Duckies and I had to use it first because I have fond memories of going down to the lake to feed the ducks stale bread when I was a kid. I always wanted to catch one and take it home as a pet, LOL!
Heck, we still have a pair of ducks that waddle through our small downtown whom you have to occassionally break for as they cross the street. :)
Anywho, before I get lost wandering down memory lane be sure to check out Spesch's entire new release today... cute, cute stuff I tell ya!

Farm livin' is the life for me

Well, from the looks of this card it is the life for Anya anyway, LOL!

Hello again, yes I'm back with another card and this one is for today's Monday Mania challenge hosted by the fabulously fun miss Lisa! She has come up with a fantastic recipe challenge that is called, "Getting odd with shapes" and you are to put together a card using 1 rectangle (my gingham frame), 3 squares (the farm yard and sentiment papers) and 5 circles (my multicolor buttons). Right away I knew just the papers and Anya that I wanted to pair with this design so that, combined with the recipe, made for a really quick card that positively flew together. And I will confess that I actually have the October Afternoon Farm Fresh stamp set which includes this pig image but I was going for quick and easy so rather than color up more stamped images I opted for stickers... shock, horror, LOL! ;)
I gotta say that I am in love with this Country Anya digi... the braided pigtails, those smilie eyes and her stylin bib overalls are just too stinkin' cute! I SO hope that she sees rubber someday soon... fingers crossed and double crossed! :)

Alrighty, I really hope that you all get a chance to play with us over at CA&Friends this week!

TTYL!
